Tender, juicy turkey meatballs baked in the oven and ready in 30 minutes.

Avo's Tip

  • Do not overmix.

  • No ground turkey? Ground chicken or a beef and pork mix substitute directly.

  • No breadcrumbs? Panko gives a lighter texture; crushed crackers work in a pinch.

  • No fresh parsley? 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning replaces the fresh herbs.

Ingredients

1

1 lb ground turkey

2

2 cloves garlic, minced

3

½ tsp salt

4

⅓ cup panko breadcrumbs

5

1 large egg

6

¼ tsp black pepper

 Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2

In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined — do not overmix.

3

Roll the mixture into balls about 1½ inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between each one.

4

Bake for 18–20 minutes until cooked through and lightly golden. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

5

Serve immediately with your choice of sauce, or cool completely and store for meal prep.

Quick Fixes

  • Dry meatballs: Add an egg and a splash of milk to the mix — turkey is lean and needs the extra moisture. Don't overbake.

  • Not browning on top: Broil the last 2 minutes to get a golden color without drying them out.
