METHOD
Why It Works

Ground pork browns fast and soaks up the gochujang sauce in minutes. Building it over rice with fresh toppings makes a balanced bowl on a weeknight.

Quick Fixes

Too spicy: add a little more honey or a splash of water.

Pork dry: don't overcook it; pull it once just cooked through.

Ingredients

Protein

1 lb ground pork

Sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2 tablespoons gochujang
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon sesame oil

Pasta & Grains

3 cups cooked white rice

Topping

1 cup sliced cucumber
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 teaspoon sesame seeds

How to Make It

1

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground pork until browned and no longer pink, breaking it up as it cooks. Stir in the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds.

2

Add the gochujang, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil and simmer for 2 minutes.

3

Divide the rice among bowls and top with the pork.

4

Add the cucumber, green onions, and sesame seeds and serve warm.

Store

Store the pork up to 3 days; assemble bowls fresh.

Reheat

Reheat the pork on the stovetop and serve over fresh rice.
